Lewis teaches private lessons in Walthamstow, East London, as well as from his studio in Bow.
He is a friendly and outgoing teacher with a comprehensive knowledge of music theory and many different drum styles. He graduated from Tech Music School in 2014 with 1st Class Honours, and went on to teach both privately and with Rocksteady Music School in addition to his performing work. Lewis utilises the latest in drumming technology to offer an engaging lesson, with backing tracks, play alongs, electronic drums and acoustic drums all used to heighten the educational experience into something you won't forget!
Meryl (pupil): I have had drumming tuition with Lewis for just under 4 years. Lessons are fun and I feel that I progress steadily with his guidance in both rock, and jazz which is my greater interest. What I value most about Lewis's teaching style is his ability to see where you are technically, and also where your head is at with the drumming. He gives encouragement, feedback and relates from his own experience both when he was learning and as a professional musician. He has the way of a natural teacher. I recommend him highly.
Emma Lord (pupil): I have wanted to learn the drums for a long time but never really got going with it until I had lessons with Lewis. His patience and professionalism are second to none and I would recommend that anyone choose him regardless of their experience level. Lewis wants the best for his students and his passion comes out in his teaching. He is a wonderful teacher and I am grateful for his support.
Steve Jones (Father of pupils): I've always been impressed with Lewis's ability to keep my kids on track and focused during the lessons, as i've never managed it! Under his tutelage i've seen (heard) them come on leaps and bounds. The boys are working through their grades and progressing well.
